Call (262) 829-5961Mon to Fri, 7am to 5pmWho runs it
Grafton Water Softener Co. is a trade name of ZeroGrain Water LLC, a Wisconsin company. It is not part of the Village of Grafton or its water utility; the Village's report is quoted throughout this site because it is the Village's own published account of its water.
What we handle, and what a plumber handles
We take the call, size a softener for your water and your household, supply it along with its brine tank and the reverse-osmosis drinking tap that comes with every whole-home softener, and arrange the installation. The installation is carried out by a plumbing contractor licensed by the State of Wisconsin, since a softener's drain connection is plumbing under Wis. Stat. ch. 145.
Nobody comes out to sell. Quotes are given on the phone, Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm, and the plumbing contractor's visit on installation day is the only one.
Why Grafton has a site of its own
Grafton's utility says it outright: the Village calls its water very hard, the kind that typically calls for a softener in the home. Its 2025 report puts the average at 377 parts per million, about 22 grains, drawn from six wells in the Niagara dolomite.
The site serves the Village of Grafton, the Town of Grafton, Saukville and the Town of Saukville. A village connection starts from the Village's figure; a house outside that system starts from a number of its own.
